Automotive award 2016 : Quality award for STVA UK

Held in London with top automotive industry guests in attendance, these annual celebrations recognise some of the best performers in Automotive’s global supply chain.

STVA was announced as the company which had most demonstrated investment in improving quality standards throughout the automotive supply chain. Based upon statistical evidence, the Logistics Quality Award sets a benchmark for quality within the industry and this one was tightly contested by 5 main operators.

STVA took this award for the broadness of its Project Opti approach. The unifying approach to aggregation of marginal gains was impressive, learning from Olympic  training  improvement methods

A cross functional team worked on investigating opportunities for improvement to find marginal gains, by ‘micro analysis’  of  every aspect a of process

Measurable results already confirmed :

> Lead Time Performance : more than 3% improvement (source =customers)
> Empty Running Reduction by switching targeted volume from road to rail
> Increased number of drivers to trucks : overall +10% truck productivity increase
> Compound productivity increase : more than 2%
> CO2 Reduction : like for like volume more than 10%
