STVA behind the scenes of the 2016 Mondial de l’Automobile
For more than 20 years, the STVA teams have helped the car manufacturers with the preparation and setting of their vehicles at the “Mondial de l’Automobile” at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. For the 2016 event, STVA provided the set up of the vehicles for the following manufacturers: Hyundai, Lexus, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Ssangyong, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota.
In total, more than 300 vehicles were processed by STVA, of which 150 vehicles were prepared and set up at the exhibition and almost the same quantity of “duplicate” vehicles stored at our compound.
Several weeks before the opening, STVA prepares the vehicles that will be displayed at the exhibition. As well as the set up of specific equipments, the withdrawal of elements and set up in show-room mode, the STVA teams are in charge of their particular accurate aesthetical preparation.
The vehicles are then forwarded to the Parc des Expositions and set up in accordance with each manufacturer specifications.
After the press and clients days, STVA is also in charge of exchanging the vehicles with a new presentation for the public opening.
For the duration of the exhibition, STVA has a team dedicated to the manufacturers to assure a 24/7 maintenance, aesthetical and technical, of the booths and the vehicles displayed (eventual replacement of stolen items, repair further to deterioration…).
Some clients have even entrusted to STVA the entire management of their concept cars and pre-series, test centers, as well as the organization of the sales and/or hostesses training before the show.
After the exhibition, STVA organizes the return of the vehicles to the logistic compound of Valenton, inspection and potential repair.
A staff of 60 committed and experienced employees, from several of our French subsidiaries, is working at this event. STVA has really become a key organizer in managing this kind of event.
